Chill formed in the summer of 2007 combining members of the bands Fuse and Zeke's Wheel.

Chill is: Jim Shaw (guitar, vocals), Ron Freeland (bass, vocals), Sam Young (drums, vocals), Chris Nava (guitar, ukulele, harmonica, flute, vocals)

The name Chill embodies the band vibe - A laid back, no worries attitude. No egos, no stress, just having fun playing music. Our goal is to convey that feeling to the audience. Chill has a vast repertoire of cover tunes and original music.

The great thing about this band is its versatility of musical styles:
Classic and modern rock, r&b, latin, reggae, dance favorites, even country & gospel.

For well over a decade the band members have played extensively in the Northern & Central California region including: Weddings, private parties, festivals, wineries, clubs, and restaurants. Whether it's a quiet dinner set, or a dance party, Chill can cater to the needs of the particular venue. Helping to create the perfect music for a wedding, or theme party is one of the most fulfilling things we do.

We had the pleasure of having the band Chill play at our establishment on 7/28/07. In the past, we have had several other bands play and no other band received the response from our customers that Chill received.
The place was packed and standing room only. The night was filled with our customers singing and dancing and all had a great time. When it came time to stop, Chill was asked to do several encores to keep the good time going; nobody wanted the music to end.
The energy and talent of the band, variety of songs, professionalism and easy-going attitude made it a true pleasure to have them in our business. To this day, we still have customers asking, "When is Chill playing here again?"

Our reception band, Chill, was one of our favorite parts of our wedding day. They are not your average "Wedding Singer" Band --there is nothing cheesy about them. They are a talented, fun group that made our reception a true party. They played a perfect rendition of our first dance song, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. We had an eclectic group of songs that we wanted played at our wedding reception, from Outkast, to Lynyrd Skynyrd, to Def Leppard, to Johhny Cash, and Chill was able to play an awesome, musically diverse selection without a problem.
We had several different groups of friends and relatives at the wedding who did not know each other, and by the end of the night, they were all out on the dance floor together, having a great time. The positive energy of Chill is contagious. I have literally NEVER seen my mother dance before, and she was out the dance floor almost the entire time! The band created exactly the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding reception --it was a fun, loud party, and we were able to enjoy dancing and mingling with our guests. After months of wedding "issues," it was great to have the music for our reception executed so perfectly.
When our friends and family talk about our wedding, they almost invariably comment on how excellent the band was and how much fun they had dancing with us. Chill has a very talented mix of musicians -in short, they are just a very cool band.

These guys are great!! I found them playing outside at Bella Bru and thoroughly enjoyed listening to them and continued to go back. Christian has an amazing voice and they play such a great variety of music. In fact, I enjoyed them so much I asked Christian if there was anyway they could play at my house for a Christmas party, they have for the past two years now and have put on an outstanding show. The best part is these are really great, genuine, down to earth gentlemen!!!
